Keith
Singleton founded Armada Group, Inc., an Ohio corporation,
in October 1999 as a result of his thirteen years
of experience as an officer with the Columbus, Ohio
Division of Police (CPD).
After working as a street officer for the first six years,
Mr. Singleton joined PoliceNet Operations,
a newly created special project group selected to computerize
CPD operations. During these next seven years Mr. Singleton
was a leader in forming the direction of technology development
and implementing numerous programs and applications to computerize
various areas within the Division. Of particular note, he
successfully researched, developed, and tested a method of
transmitting mug shot and fingerprint data
to and from a mobile cruiser device. Today, CPD is recognized
nationally as one of the leaders in the implementation of
mobile technology initiatives.
After leaving the force in 1999, Mr. Singleton became the
Chief Technology Officer of a Columbus, Ohio-based
e-commerce start-up company, where, as the second employee,
he successfully engineered and implemented the company's infrastructure
and e-commerce engine. But his passion to make his law enforcement
vision a reality never diminished. In June 2000, he finalized
a business model that would permit all law enforcement agencies
to link to a common data network and have access to previously
"impossible" system benefits. This would become the foundation
for Armada. Mr. Singleton continues to be recognized as an
expert in adaptation of various technologies for use by law
enforcement. As a result, he presents to and consults with
law enforcement agencies on a national level regarding issues
involving technology development and adaptation.
In addition to his service with CPD, Mr. Singleton also served
as an officer with the New Albany and Gahanna, Ohio Police
departments and worked in the Executive Division of
Corporate Security Operations for The Limited. He
is also certified in several Microsoft and Cisco Networking
products.
