Armada Group, Inc. ™, a public safety business since 2000 located in central Ohio, is an information management service provider for the law enforcement community. Armada’s application, iLincs©, accessed through a secure web-based interface, allows participating agencies enterprise-wide to access, enter and share, text and image data.  The genesis of iLincs was to support law enforcement in the new world where fighting crime and terrorism are not just local and isolated issues.  Real-time information from multiple criminal justice data resources including the State of Ohio, the FBI and data they access and/or manage such as NCIC, NLETS and INTERPOL are scaled to operate effectively in wireless environments improving the safety and effectiveness of street officers. .

iLincs has been widely deployed throughout Ohio for over 8 years serving local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.  Armada was the first private entity to be issued an ORI in Ohio and to provide LEADS to mobile Users over commercial wireless services. As a regional provider, Armada continues to work closely with state officials to provide agencies with a truly useful collaboration tool.

iLincs provides an effective method to enter SAR/FI subject contact data and/or generate Alerts/Wanted-type records that can be viewed globally. iLincs includes inter/intra agency messaging to all participating agencies, user status, agency specific reference documents and enterprise access to other universal information resource documents. iLincs provides a method to capture and view individual end user profiles, including specializations (foreign language interpreter, negotiator, emergency operations coordinator, etc.) and a status view to show availability (and/or message) of an individual, a group, or by a specialized skill. Armada is making it possible for every size agency to automate and enhance field information collection and storage, suspect identification, and intra and inter-agency communication.

Armada manages all services and maintains all the back-end hardware supporting iLincs in a location meeting CJIS security requirements, eliminating the need for agency-supported and expensive in-house expertise and equipment.  All agencies are able to utilize cutting edge law enforcement information technologies.

In addition, Armada provides professional information management services for network engineering (LAN & WAN), data integration, software development, project management, training and support.

Armada is currently reengineering its processes to facilitate iLincs’ global communications within the law enforcement community on an international scale resulting in nearly real-time criminal and terrorist data exchange.  Additionally, the information sharing requirements for corporate in-house security personnel (domestic and international) working within private companies does parallel the similar requirements of government law enforcement.  A need exists for an organized method for universal exchange between private industry security to include government law enforcement involvement.  Armada is enhancing its offering by developing additional tools, features and functions to fulfill the domestic and international law enforcement needs.
